LYNX 7042 Thinning Shear

The LYNX series is Precise Cut’s newest leading edge technology shear. The blade design makes the shear lightweight to diminish fatigue allowing less pressure for full cutting the entire length of the blade to the tip. The specialized coating is designed to enhance the strength of the convex cutting edge. This coating until the release of the Phoenix Graffiti and Bron was primarily used in the tooling industry to strengthen and prolong cutting edge life. It will not chip or peel like other less expensive coatings.

The LYNX utilizes Randy’s new patented handle design which allows the user to slide the thumb ring forward or back to the position appropriate for their specific hand. No more being locked into specific positions for your thumb. 

LYNX is a complete line of shears including 7.0, 8.0, 9.0 inch straight and curved, a 7.0”, 42 tooth thinning shear which removes about 50% of the hair, an aggressive 7.5” - 28 tooth chunker which will remove 90% of the hair, and the matching 7.5” - 28 tooth curved chunker. We have also added a NEW INNOVATIVE 7.5”, 26/12 teeth, is a combination shear which, used as a chunker, removes 60% of the hair just slightly more than a thinning shear and can then be used at the tip to blend any straggling ends without changing shears. Note there is a learning curve on using this shear as with any innovative design.

As with any Precise Cut shear, the Lynx is warranted for life against manufacturing defects. If you ever receive a Precise Cut shear that is not cutting appropriately, do not send to your local sharpener, but contact us. Ever shear goes through rigorous testing before it is sold. We do not warrant our shears against inferior sharpening by others. Using a good sharpener will not void the warranty on a manufacturer defect.
